24 – 26 January 2018 | Brussels (Belgium)

The kick-off meeting, held on 24-26th January 2018 in Brussels, successfully brought together representatives from all the 29 institutions that form the InnovaConcrete Consortium, gathering a total of 54 participants. In addition, the InnovaConcrete project officer from the European Commission, René Martins also took part in the meeting.

In order to ensure networking between the InnovaConcrete members, the meeting was held in a hotel in the heart of Brussels. In addition, two social events (informal networking dinner on the evening of 24th January and working lunch on 25th January) were organized with the same objective.

The main aim of the InnovaConcrete kick-off meeting was to ensure that all the partners have a common understanding of the project and their respective roles in it. The meeting was an opportunity for all partners to:

• Establish closer relationships with other members of the consortium;
• Present their prospective contribution to the project;
• Align the main objectives of the project;
• Obtain more information on the project management formalities.

Additionally, on 24th January in the morning, the first Executive Board meeting of the project was held.
