During the second week of December 2020, INES team has conducted the in situ validation monitoring in two case studies of the project: the IX Fort Monument (Kaunas, Lithuania) and the SRODMIESCIE WKD Railway Pavilion (Warsaw, Poland). For monitoring the performance of the impregnation treatments applied, Color measurements, Rebound tests, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity tests, absorption tests and samples extraction (searching for the chemical stability and the penetration depth with laboratory analysis) have been undertaken. In the case of the products that seek sealing cracks, besides the continuous monitoring with lvdt’s installed by RINA, absorption tests and shrinkage behavior has been checked.
